Cubism

Written by deborah schneider on February 13, 2013

Developed by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, Cubism is a twentieth century avant-garde art movement which transformed European painting. In cubist artworks, objects are taken apart, examined, and put back together in an abstracted form. Rather than showing subjects within one perspective, the artist displays the object from a variety of points of views to symbolize the object from a more significant perspective. Usually the elements meet at relatively arbitrary facets, eliminating a consistent feeling of detail. The setting and subject avenues interpenetrate each other to generate the actual unclear area. Experts have found to evaluate the historical past of cubism phases such as, the initial phase of cubism which is Analytic Cubism. This was together extreme and influential being a brief yet extremely important art movement during the early 1900's in France. Another example of phases was the final phase called Late Cubism which was from 1914 to 1921 and was the radical avant-garde movement.
