Abstract Art - An Artist's Feeling on a Canvas

Written by deborah schneider on February 15, 2013

A long time ago, paintings already existed even though they were not like what you see in some art galleries today. If you happen to be a painter, then you will be able to recognize the kind of painting that is from long ago.

I’m talking about the abstract paintings that are created making use of a visual communication of components to achieve something like an illusion of the real thing. It’s actually not a clear vision of the subject but instead, the author is trying to make viewers use their imagination so that they can understand what the artist is trying to create, unlike the one you see in other kinds of finished paintings where what you see is what you get. In abstract painting, you have to be imaginative to understand what the artist is really painting on the canvas. If you do not look closely, you will think that it’s just graphics with no meaning, though there is really a subject behind that graphics. These abstract paintings could be harder to create because artists cannot copy the subject like in other kinds of paintings.

Like the other merchandise, you can also find many sites that are displaying an array of abstract paintings, or you could end up spending a lot of money by hopping from gallery to gallery. Besides, on the internet, you will be able to see more choices if you know how to search for what you want.

It’s great to have an abstract painting displayed in your place because it’s like seeing something that was made with heart. It’s as if the artist would like to share his feelings by conveying them through his canvas in the form of art. It’s as if whatever he feels while making the abstract painting will be reflected on to the finished abstract painting.

If you are an aspiring painter, abstract painting is a good starting project for you since it is your own thoughts that you will be painting and you will not copy any subject where errors can be noticeable if your finished product is far from the original subject. In abstract painting, if there are slight errors, it is not noticeable because there is nothing to compare it with since it is as if you are drawing your emotions. If you are in a happy state, then you could create a happy painting and vice versa. The thing about abstract paintings is the thrill of recognizing what the painter is trying to convey. There are abstract paintings that are hard to understand, and that adds to the beauty of choosing to create abstract paintings, aside from the fact that they could really add beauty to any place.
